Hi Cootek,

I have had a look at this, but to create/edit a png file to the exact layout as the original is cumbersome, i know as i have tried.

Is there some base picture or editable resource that may be available to ease this process to change the font?

The big letters are probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it looks better.

Anti-aliased means the lines that define the characters are not "clear-cut", but fade more smoothly. Haha, that was a terrible explanation, but for example the V3 characters are not anti-aliased, while the V2 characters are.
I can thicken the symbols, change the font etc quite easily now, but in most cases the character width is already maxed-out with the layout I made, so some characters will need to be "squeezed" when bolder.

Rename to style1.png!
Rename to highlight.png!

There you go. Rename the files and copy them to your Resources folder.
Warning, those files are not compatible with any Russian language pack! Also, I didn't skin any of the accented letters. Might do that later if anyone needs them skinned.

Thank you for the replies, jmetouch: of course you can use it, witanny: I'll try to add the accented characters in the next few days, ftflow: the characters are indeed too big, I'll try to make a smaller version exactly the same as v2, 88raymond: yes it's possible!

Well if pocketcm wasnt out, i would use touchpal v2.  I am just waiting for all of the features within touchpal v3 to be available with the v2 skin and animation, because the new features have improved the usability and speed of touchpal significantly, just is it is also significantly less fun and uglier.

Since I already updated to v3 thinking it would look the same, I haven't uninstalled and reverted back because I can use PocketCM until hopefully an update comes that will have the v2 skin and animation.  It's not worth switchin back and then having to switch once more when they do update (which I sincerely hope they do because it is a great keyboard.. or it was!)

While the features of v3 are wonderful, the skin and animation really just counteracts everything CooTek has worked for.. would love to see v2 updated to v3 properly!!
